Prakriti Prasad is a senior journalist and a columnist who has worked with several leading publications of the country, including The Times of India, Business Standard, Indian Express and The Himalayan Times for over two decades. She has written and edited coffee-table books for The Dainik Jagran and The Times of India. Besides being a freelance writer, she espouses social causes and anchors events on issues close to her heart. As a crusader of Swachh Bharat Mission, she anchored mega events of Dettol Banega Swachh India with Vidya Balan, the national sanitation brand ambassador, in Patna and Lucknow.

Having written on a range of topics from wildlife, traffic, media, marketing, advertising; from hard news stories to business and education features, Prakriti steered towards writing for the youth and children. As a mother she realised the imperative need to bridge the mounting gulf between parents and children and began writing a column for The Times of India on parenting of teenagers. Her Book 'ParenTEEN- How to Nurture Your Adolescents in Modern Times' published by Rupa Publications was recently launched by the West Bengal Governor Shri Keshari Nath Tripathy in Kolkata. This self-help book is an outcome of Prakriti’s passionate mission to create awareness about positive parenting, role modelling and spiritual grounding imperative for raising a generation of healthy, happy and accomplished individuals.

Prakriti endeavours to motivate parents and educators to be positive, hands' on and more introspective in handling children through her 'Nurture a Strong Seed' workshops & interactive sessions.

As a relationship, yoga and meditation mentor, Prakriti also conducts wellness workshops and individual sessions with both youngsters and adults.

A music aficionado with a ‘Prabhakar’ (graduation) in Hindustani Classical, Kathak and Sitar, she believes in connecting with people through her art. She is a diehard optimist who considers an ever-increasing circle of friends her biggest achievement in life.
